Brussel Sprouts are Versatile

Brussel sprouts are versatile vegetables, they’re great in all sorts of dishes. You can saute them, roast them, fry them, shave them. They’re also tasty raw! Unfortunately, a lot of people think they will taste like cabbage, since that’s what they resemble. In fact, my husband refers to Brussels sprouts as “baby cabbages.”

These Brussel Sprouts Recipes are All Low Carb and Meat Free

But there are tons of ways to prepare Brussel sprouts that can turn them into a delicious dish. Here’s a selection of Brussel sprouts recipes from around the web. I’ve reviewed all of these to make sure they are both low carb and vegetarian (sorry, no bacon, though you can certainly add some if you’re NOT vegetarian – bacon can really enhance the flavor of Brussel sprouts, or so I’m told).

Brussel sprouts are also very good for your health. I’ll be publishing a post later this week on the health benefits of “baby cabbages,” so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that.
